Choripán
Ingredients:
La Mesa Chimichurri (240ml)
4 crusty bread rolls (such as baguettes or ciabatta)
4 chorizo sausages
Optional toppings: sliced tomatoes, sliced onions, lettuce
Instructions:
Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
Slice the bread rolls in half lengthwise, creating a pocket to hold the ingredients.
Grill the chorizo sausages on the preheated grill or skillet. Cook them for about 4-5 minutes per side until they are browned and cooked through.
While the sausages are cooking, lightly toast the bread rolls on the grill or in a toaster.
Once the sausages are cooked, transfer them to a cutting board and let them rest for a minute. Then, slice them lengthwise.
Spread a generous amount of chimichurri sauce on the cut sides of each bread roll.
Place a sliced chorizo sausage inside each roll.
If desired, add additional toppings such as sliced tomatoes, sliced onions, or lettuce.
Serve the Churripan sandwiches immediately while the sausages and bread are still warm.
